Racing Team Holland’s Ligier JS-P3 made it’s public debut at Zandvoort last weekend ahead of the Road to Le Mans race next week. The striking yellow-and-white machine was put through it’s paces in front of a record 100.000 crowd over two days as thousands of fans flocked to the sea-side circuit to catch a glimpse of Max Verstappen and his Red Bull F1.

Jan Lammers and Prince Bernhard of Orange-Nassau will race the car, which will be run by Davytec Engineering, at Le Mans and both drivers already feel at home behind the wheel of the new LMP3 car.  “This car is an extraordinary piece of engineering and a challenge for professionals and gentleman-drivers alike”, commented Lammers who will return to the site of his greatest endurance victory. “Going back to Le Mans is a privilege, and to do it with Bernhard, both an enthusiast and a rapid driver in his own right makes it even more special.”

Bernhard of Orange-Nassau recently became the new co-owner of the Zandvoort circuit and has been racing in single-make series and the Dutch and European GT4 series for more than 10 years now while Jan Lammers celebrated his 60th birthday at Zandvoort last weekend and counts as one of the most experienced and iconic endurance racers having tasted succes in Group C, GT1 and LMP1 machinery.

The Racing Team Holland Ligier will most likely make it’s race debut this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps before heading down to Le Mans for the big race.
