In 2017 a new official Benelux Championship starts, the GT & Prototype Challenge powered by Hankook. Initiator behind this series is V-Max Racing Management, well known for the International Supercar Challenge which it organizes since 2001.

This new series is open to the fastest category of GT’s and open and closed Prototypes. There will be four divisions in the GT & Prototype Challenge. The SuperGT division is open for all GT3 type of cars of manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi and Mercedes. But also GT cars as raced in the Supercar Challenge before like the Mosler MT900, Pumaxs RT and Vipers are welcome. All cars with a power of 500Hp as a minimum and a great sound.

The second part of the grid is reserved for three divisions of Prototypes. The new closed P3 cars from manufacturers like Ligier, Ginetta and Norma. The second Group for the CN cars like the Wolf GB08, Norma M20FC, Praga R1 Turbo and Radical SR8 and the third group for older CN cars like the Radical SR3, Ligier JS51 and Praga R1.

There will be six events on the tracks in Zandvoort and Assen in the Netherlands and at Zolder and Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. We will start the season in May on Zandvoort during a great event where we expect more than 100.000 spectators. In August the serie will attend again a great event, the Gamma Racing Day at TT Circuit Assen with again more than 85.000 visitors. Besides these two events, we will race twice at the famous track of Spa Francorchamps.
