KATWIJK - Pol Stoffel will drive for DayVTec in 2015. The racing car driver from Luxembourg will be paired with Max Koebolt to drive a Volvo Silhouette in the Dutch Supercar Challenge, team owner Davy Lemmens revealed.

Stoffel is no stranger to the Dutch racing outfit. Halfway the 2014 season the team tried him in a testing session. “We’ve know each other for two years already”, Lemmens said, “and Pol has proven that he’s a competitive driver. When he tested the Volvo at the Spa-track in Belgium in February he was very much impressed with the car. That’s where he decided he wanted to race for us.”

Lemmens concedes that he’s happy with his newest drivers pairing which has been made possible by the Dutch do-it-yourself store Formido. “Both drivers fit this championship very well. They’re both very quick and talented.”

The Silhouette is a very customer-friendly racer, Lemmens says. “It has ABS and traction control, it’s gentlemen proof. The car is a beast. Besides, we have a great team with passionate and friendly people to prepare it in the best way possible. They have proven themselves by providing championship winning cars in the past. We do everything we can to win.”

Moreover, Lemmens knows a racing driver can learn a lot about racing in a recreational way with a lot of track time by competing in the Dutch Supercar Challenge. “And in terms of costs this championship is also perfect. With DayVtec our drivers can race in an affordable way while being professionally guided. In the end, we want to train drivers to become the best driver they can possibly be.”
